Good To Grow: Community Activity Day

We’re taking part in #GoodToGrow2022. Join us on Saturday 23 April at 11am to get active and help us with renovating our annual food growing beds. Come along to enjoy a day in nature, meet local people, find out more about gardening and wellbeing and have a tour of our garden.

Learn some basic tool sharpening and maintenance skills for keeping secateurs, shears and loppers and other gardening tools in tip top condition.

Community Volunteer Day CANCELLED

OUR MONTHLY COMMUNITY DAYS ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Please check back on our website towards the end of April for any changes.

The first of our monthly community volunteer sessions on the first Saturday of the month. Everyone is welcome. This is a great way to stay in touch with the garden, meet new people and connect with nature.

We'll be focusing on maintenance and repairs to our sensory garden and installing a willow-weaved border. We look forwad to seeing you there. Please bring a packed lunch and sturdy footwear. Refreshments will be provided.

Wednesday 27 and Friday 29 November

Learn some basic principles and skills for winter pruning of apple and pear trees in our large mature orchard. The first day is for beginners and the second day is for people to brush up on skills and have more time for hands-on practice. You can attend both or either day.

Please bring a pruning saw if you have one and wear sturdy footwear. Refreshments will be provided. Suggested voluntary donation is £3-5 for non-volunteers for each day.
