Community Grow and Cook
Are you interested in growing your own fruit and veg and learning cheap ways to cook it? If so, Join us at Forest Farm for a free course in growing and cooking your own produce. The course will run fortnightly on a Thursday for 4 hours each session.
On your own mini plot you will learn how to:
* prepare the soil and keep free of weeds
*sow seeds
* transplant seedlings
* feeding and watering
*grow a range of fruits and veg
*cook and eat what you have grown

We run open workshops for the general public which are free to attend. Topics are varied, such as organic gardening, healthy eating and cooking, making herbal remedies and home-produce, wild food foraging, permaculture, arts and crafts, mindfulness and even tai chi classes... Green Shoots: A Nature-Based Programme for Young Women (Aged 18 - 24)
Launching on July 21st, Green Shoots is a trauma-informed wellbeing programme for young women aged 18–24. Designed to support those seeking mental health support, community, or healing after experiences such as domestic abuse, it offers a safe, therapeutic space to connect, grow, and recover.
Each full-day session blends nature-based activities like gardening, yoga, creative workshops, and shared food preparation, with optional day trips to places like Kew Gardens—tailored to the group’s needs and interests.
